Alessandro Vinciarelli, co-founder of Klewel and coordinator of a European Network of Excellence called Social Signal Processing Network (SSPNet). The network aims at establishing a European research community on modeling analysis and synthesis of social signals.

Among all the talks, we would note that Prof Nick Campbell (at Trinity College, Dublin and ex Research Director, Expressive Speech Processing Project, ATR Information Sciences Division in Japan) gave a very good talk on Tracking the second channel of information in speech. Another interesting talk in the form of a dialog was given by Yiannis Aloimonos Professor at the Department of Computer Science and the Director of the Computer Vision Laboratory, at the University of Maryland.
